What caught my interest was the "Ise" in the second student's response. I'm still not sure if it is a contraction of some sort or just slang. I spelled it the best I could. I feel like I could play around with it. Maybe - The eyes don't know....what would eyes not know?
I like the impromptu lines you've formed here. You might try pairing these lines with another sense. "What would eyes know about the screeching sap of spent Christmas trees on January pyres?" You might be able to take this pairing of off kilter senses and begin by arranging a simple "call and response" or "stenographer study". I hope this helps.
